Car photos taken with high dynamic range (HDR) shots are a great way to get started if you are a beginner are experienced in taking great HDR photos. Why you might ask? Well with all of the reflections and shine that a car has, as well as plenty of shadows and darker areas in the wheel wells, grills etc, it becomes a great subject for HDR photos.
Just look at these 9 examples of great HDR car photos that I found on flickr. Each photo is linked to the original photo’s URL so if you wish to comment on their photo you can do so, also feel free to post a comment or post your own HDR car photos at the comment box below.

I think you may be confusing tonemapping-an operator commonly bundled with HDR processing software-with HDR itself.
It is not possible with current technology, for example, to make an HDR file of a fast moving car.
You are completely correct, thanks for the information. I am removing the moving cars. Thanks
Hi,
Great effects on the cars! I will bookmark your site and come back. I am in the final stages of my site design and functionality. I look forward to more of your work and may ask you for some graphics for my site in the future.

i am looking for tutorial to show me how to use hdr correctly i love taking pictures of cars but cannot find a car tutorial on the web please help
With fake-HDR technique, you can create HDR image from anything. Take 1 raw picture and create the necessary numbers of intermediate pictures with different exposure. Increasing or decreasing the exposure of a raw picture is almost similar to the over- or underexposure (by expo. correction) made by the camera.
Hello you have amazeing images, I have just learned how to shoot HDR about a month ago and I have posted them all on my site. I love doing cars and today I did my first car and I think it looks great But I would love some feed back on it. As well I would love to post some on here but dont see where to upload, so any info on that would be great if you could email me. Thanks
awesome awesome. I really love these photos.
Stumbled across this website just now, very surprised you liked my image (the Williams F1 car in the lobby) enough to link to it.
Yes strictly speaking it isn’t HDR as its only from 1 RAW image (handheld) and back then when I was post-processing the image I was quite into the slightly over the top HDR effect but I think it worked quite well on the F1 car.
If anyone is interested in a really good tutorial on HDR then you can do worse than look at this site:
